The "Outside" Boarding experience!
Horses will enjoy the "outdoor" boarding experience here at Crystal Clear Stables! Horses are
able to enjoy 24 hr pasture grazing in acres of pasture right beside Shackleton Lake during the
summer months. All outside boarders have access to large shelters and fresh water provided at
all times. All horses on "outside" board recieve 2 feedings each day of a balanced grain ration
designed by an Equine Nutritionalist in addition to their hay ration. Heated water is available in
the winter.
Horses staying with us in the winter may be blanketed if owner so desires at no additional cost.
In the summer months bug spray is also administered at no additional cost to the boarder
(* boarder must provide their own spray for us to use on their horse*)
Boarders housing their horses outside have access to cross ties anytime of the day or night
in the barn as well as their own locker for their tack and grooming supplies. Use of the outdoor
100 x 200 sand riding ring and riding equipment such as jumps, barrels and trail course equipment
is included as well.
Cost per month is $160.00 (this price includes daily grain
ration *owner may provide vitamins or other dietary supplements to be fed*)
The "Inside" Boarding experience!
Boarders who would like their horse to come in each night can take advantage of our "inside boarding" package. Horses enjoy every
night in a clean well bedded box stall and are turned out daily. All our spacious turnout paddocks
have large shelters in them to shield them from the elements regardless of the season. Water is
available at all times and heated in the winter. All horses staying with Crystal Clear Stables are
grained 2 times per day. Each horse is on a feeding program which is designed with each horse's
needs in mind. *Details such as physical activity and age are taken into consideration when
developing a feeding schedule with our Equine Nutritionalist. *Also owner input is encouraged to
help us design a feeding program which best suits their horse.
In the winter months horses are hayed outside during the day and have a night feeding of hay inside
with their last grain feeding of the day. In the summer months horses boarded inside have access
to our large pasture and still receive hay in the evening in their stall when they come in.
For boarders who would prefer that their horses go out at night to escape the heat in the summer m
onths; their horses can enjoy cooler temperatures and their paddocks are lit at night for safety.
There are no blanketing fees in the winter or summer. As well we do not charge a fee to apply bug
spray (*owner must provide).
Boarders can come visit their horse and use our facility at anytime of the day/night and weekends.
*Escape the heat of the day in the summer...go ahead ride in the evening the riding ring is lit!
Lockers are provided for your tack and grooming supplies.
In the summer take advantage of our beautiful newly constructed riding ring. Wonderful footing is
groomed daily for your riding enjoyment in this spacious 100 x200 ring. Whether you are a hunter
or a speed event rider we have fabulous equipment for you to use whenever you like to help you
enjoy the continuous challenge of riding with your equine partner. The atmosphere at the lake is
very quiet and serene however we do have a sound system which is operational year round regardless
of weather if like to pop in your favorite tunes to ride to!

Working with your horse is our pleasure! Horses staying with us enjoy tonnes of one on one time
with consistent training which encourages trust and willingness out of "your" future mount!
We offer several types of "training" board depending on your needs, your horse's needs and the
level of training your horse has upon arrival. We'll help you achieve your future goals "with"
your horse...And we just know you're going to enjoy the ride!!!!
Halter and Showmanship Training : Your horse will benefit from
being handled daily during turnout and can look forward to a reliable schedule of instruction in
regards to ground manners while being led and groomed in the cross-ties. We feel that horses of
any age can benefit from this training.
Teaching your horse to lead and stand safely is our
primary goal. Once they have that down pat they will progress to learning maneuvers that will
make them competitive in the show ring such as jogging in hand and turning on the haunches.
Horses are worked on patterns and or lunging in the ring 4 times per week on top of the daily
handling they receive coming in and out of the stable each day. Your horse will be introduced
to the concept of lunging (depending on the age of the candidate) as well they will be introduced
to clipping and bathing . Your horse will learn how to safely and reliably get on and off a
trailer.
Why is ground work like this important? We believe that a well started horse should "lead"
anywhere. A horse who has an excellent start on the ground grows to be a reliable happy horse
in the saddle. It builds and important relationship with your horse and instills confidence in
both the handler and horse.
Young horses will reap untold rewards from having work of this
nature done with them and it is a great foundation when they are started under saddle.

Saddle Training: Young horses being started at Crystal Clear
Stables will be introduced to the saddle and lunging techniques as well as ground driving in the
saddle and bridle before being ridden. Backing a horse is a practice in patience and you are only
given one opportunity to do it right! A good back ground in the ground work mentioned above is of
utmost importance for their success while being ridden.
Each horse in our program here is treated with respect and consistency and knowing that each
horse will progress at their own "speed" is taken into consideration when we start to introduce
the "idea" of being ridden to them. Horses are worked and/or ridden 4 times a week. Owners are
welcome to come and see their horses being worked at anytime convenient to them and are encouraged
to visit them often. As well owners are encouraged to work with their horses under our guidance
as their horse progresses.
Cost per month $550.00 (price includes board and grain *owners may provide their own
additional supplements)
Schooling and Finishing Board : Do you have a horse that needs a little fine tuning? Has he/she
developed a bad habit you need assistance with? Or have you started your horse yourself and need
to have the horse finished? Does your horse simply need more exercise than your schedule can
accommodate?
Whether you have a hunter or a western pleasure mount or even a harness project..
.this boarding option is ideal for you! Your horse will be worked and/or ridden 4 times per week
and his "work" schedule will be fine tuned to meet your needs and requests. As with the above
packages we want you to be successful in your endeavors with your equine friend and will work with
you to encourage a positive "working relationship" under our guidance.

may supply their own additional supplements)
Show Board: This is for boarders who would like their horse
shown for them while they are in training or for those clients who would like their horse to enter
the show ring after completion of training.
Horse are taken in specifically to be shown by us as well. This will help their horse gain
"competitive experience" and can help advance the resale price of horses to be listed for sale
in the future.

Looking For a Place to Ride?
Would you like to put "off " property experience on your horse? We offer the use of our riding
ring to outside riders any time of the week including week- ends! Just give us a call or email us
for more details and book a time! You may rent it for exclusive use or ride with some of our
resident riders. This is a valuable service to have at your disposal...help both your horse's
confidence grow by getting him accustomed to different settings with no pressure and work on your
own nerves of riding in different situations. Do you own a young horse who needs some miles on
him before hitting the show ring? This is a perfect opportunity to work in a non stressful
environment with time on your side to work out any hurdles you may encounter. Depending on how
often you would like to come a monthly fee can be assigned at a savings to you!
Cost per horse is $20.00. This service applies to any discipline of riding and allows you manage
your time by bringing several horses on a trailer at the same time and you are not on a time limit.
(*owner must provide personal liability insurance and sign a release of liability with Crystal
Clear Stables * Horses must also be up to date on all vaccinations (proof will be requested*)
